Enrollment Process

We are very flexible when families go through the Enrollment Process. There is no steadfast rule with regard to times, dates, etc., of the Enrollment Process, but the following outline will give you a general idea of the steps we will take together as we enroll your child(ren) in Montessori House for Children.

The admissions process begins with:

I. School tour & visitor information.

II. Schedule a classroom observation

When the decision to apply is made, complete and submit the following:

I. Application and non-refundable $100 Application fee.

Upon school's receipt of complete application form and fee for child, the following steps will occur:

I. Parent and Director meeting

II. Acceptance notice (via email or phone call) & Enrollment Forms given (available at school or can be downloaded below).

III. Completed Enrollment forms (including Immunization record and signed Health Statement) and tuition deposit turned into school.

IV. First day scheduled or child is placed in waiting pool with an approximate start time given based on our best efforts to predict future openings.

Note: It is typical for a child (during admissions) who is old enough to visit his or her future classroom independently. However, if your child would like your company while visiting the classroom, we understand this and welcome you to visit as an observer and let your child venture out on his own. In any case, please let your child know prior to the classroom visit what can be expected. Most importantly, relax; your child will respond in a natural and age-appropriate manner. Children usually enjoy their visits.

As you proceed through the Enrollment Process, please feel free to contact us with your questions. We are here to support you and your child and we will do our best to ensure that your child has a smooth transition to Montessori House for Children.
