Montessori Education

Montessori education is an international program with over 20,000 schools worldwide. The educational philosophy begins in infancy and continues through grade twelve. At our school, we currently focus on ages 16 months through age 6. The Montessori philosophy provides:

- Individualized learning based on each child's differing ways and aptitudes
- A Long View of Education- providing a sound foundation with mastery of concepts which prepares the child to be a contributing member of his society from early age to adulthood

Montessori House for Children

MHFC is an authentic Montessori program that enjoys a special focus on restoring the Natural World to the child through outdoor classroom and care of living things.

With the help of garden committee members and volunteers, our children participate in the Cycles of Life both in the seasonal preparations, activities of the gardens and in the Life Cycles of birds, insects and other living things that are cared for at the School.

Each classroom has access to an outdoor patio and garden area. Full length windows, lovely views of the outdoors and an abundance of natural light add to the natural setting. The building itself is an advanced design utilizing architectural methods to enhance natural lighting and visual access to a beautiful indoor and outdoor environment.
