“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
Albert Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
Montessori House for Children
The goal of Montessori philosophy is what the goal of all education should be – acquiring knowledge of what is already known, and investigating the possibilities of the future. The Montessori curriculum is based on the scientific methods put into practice at the original Casa Dei Bambini by Dr. Montessori in the early 1900′s. Children learn through hands-on experiences that allow them to test, investigate, measure, experiment and modify in a continuing spiral that challenges them to reach highter and learn joyfully. We find that children, if allowed to move forward at their own pace, embrace their work, and find no limit to the learning.
Along with academic development comes emotional and social development, for we are not meant to live alone. Learning normal rules of conduct for living in society, good manners and respect for others are cornerstones of the Montessori Philosophy to respect self, others and the world.
Guiding the children in these areas are credentialed MACTE trained Montessori lead teachers in every classroom.
Our Children
We are a neighborhood school serving Katy, Fulshear and North Richmond. Our students are ages 18 months through third grade.
We respect each child’s innate abilities and learning styles. We use a child-centered, developmentally tailored approach to learning. By taking a long view of education, we and the children can relax and experience the joy of learning. In watching the child’s deep concentration on what they are doing, we can see that they are truly absorbing the lessons and the world around them.
